September 23, 2016
AMP's Charity Brew n Q held on 25th September was a huge success raising more than $5000 for Leukaemia Foundation.
A special thank you to Leukaemia Foundation, Lions Clubs International, our fantastic chefs, volunteers, donors and major sponsors including: Le Cordon Bleu Australia, Pirate Life Brewing, Reillys Wines, Kangaroo Island Spirits, The Hills Cider Company, PH8 Natural Alkaline Water, David Tonellato, Steve Salandra.
AMP Managing Director Jodi Duyster said the company was extremely proud to support such a worthy cause.
“We hope the funds we raise can go towards making dreams come true for people with leukaemia and other blood disorders,” Ms Duyster said.
Guests enjoyed a gourmet barbecue feast for the senses, including smoky roasted meats, gourmet sliders and a variety of fine foods prepared by local chefs including Chef Nick Filsell of Lost in a Forest. Everyone had such a great time from games and face painting for the kids to amazing prizes at the silent auction.
The Leukaemia Foundation is Australia’s peak body for blood cancer, funding research and supporting people with leukaemia, myeloma and related blood disorders.
“First I wanted to say a HUGE congratulations for Sunday. I was so impressed with the event. The atmosphere was brilliant and quite simply you did a stellar job at organising such a large event," Rachel Carson of Leukaemia Foundation said.
"I wanted to also thank you for simply holding the event. You didn’t need to, there was no fundraising element you had to achieve BUT you did it anyway. It honestly meant the world to the Leukaemia Foundation. The generosity of your team is few and far between and we wish more companies would follow in your philanthropic foot steps .”
